This project spawned from the problem that the bedroom that was built in the roof space was inadequately insulated, and lacked the feel of space. The previously installed conservation roof windows had blown their seals and we no longer performing well. It also allowed a bathroom to have a shower installed instead of a bath, making it a much more functional room for guests.

The addition of these dormers opened the bedroom up massively, providing much needed light and insulation. Initially we were going to just strip the areas of roof we needed to in order to install the dormers. However, when we found that the insulation was not sufficient we discussed this with the client and decided to strip the whole roof and insulate it properly, and they haven't looked back since!
